Desert Boots, A Fall Staple

Look outside. Our favorite fashion season has finally (finally!) arrived. What could be better than these next few months and Christmas? As we wake up and peer into our wardrobe, we think layers, layers and more layers, while recalling Fall 2009 Fashion Week or Milanese inspirations thanks to Scott Schuman. But as these next few months open up a window for bulkier and warmer outerwear, you had to have taken into consideration your finicky feet. Sneakers or boots? We say neither. Opening Ceremony features eclectic and original designs on the conventional leather, suede Desert Boot -- warm enough to withstand momentary chills -- from Burberry-esque woolen plaid, woolen purple sunset (culling unnecessary Bahamas nostalgia) to an elegant lapis lazuli inspired suede blue.

Owing to the versatility of desert boots, wind or shine, wear them sock-less with shorts or couple the boots with argyle socks and jeans.
