After our first day of shows at Bryant Park on Tuesday, we kicked off our day bright and early with our client Jeremy Scott's show at Milk Studios at 1:00PM. After arriving to the office and mobilizing the interns, sending them to Milk Studios with all of Jeremy's supplies, lists, Longchamp tote bags for front-rowers, Alternative Apparel "Pray for Fashion" T-Shirts and Jeremy Scott for Proper Attire condoms.
Once I arrived at Milk I helped out setting up the gift bags on all the seats and was then assigned to work the door, in the freezing cold in just my favorite tattered grey T-shirt and my new Rick Owens S/S 2010 motorcycle leather jacket. After check in I headed up to the second floor just in time to catch the opening of Jeremy's first show back in NY in 5 years. The collection, which was inspired by fashion itself, seemed like yet another ode to the '90s, which is proving to be the big trend of the season. It was primarily black and featured some awesome show pieces like jewel encrusted motorcycle jackets and velvet mini dresses covered with dangling jeweled crosses, which my girl Becka Diamond was OBSESSING over in the front row. While the show was truly spectacular, my Milk highlight was definitely Kelly Osbourne running over to me after the show ended to chat with me about her buddy Blake who supposedly looks exactly like me and has been called "Andrew from Bravo" all of fashion week!
After the show ended I headed back to the office to catch up on some work while most of our staff worked the Ahmed Mahfouz show at the Altman building. We finished up the list for the Jeremy Scott after party, which was scheduled to start at 10:00PM at Good Units in the basement of the Hudson Hotel, but at 8:00PM all eyes were glued to their computers as Proenza Schouler showed their incredible Noir-Clueless meets Gossip Girl collection. I can pretty much sum it up in 5 words: Glam, Goth, Gossip Girl, Grunge - Quadrouple G.
After the show I spent a solid hour brainstorming which letterman–style jacket I'm gonna NEED to pick up come next September, opting for look 16's white sleeved blue fur trimmed version, and then jumped in a cab to set up for Jeremy's after party. As Santigold, Amanda Blank and Spankrock performed and The Misshapes DJ'ed, a very cool downtown crowd partied over Belvedere and Ben & Jerry's in the massive clubby feeling space. One more day of New York fashion week and one more show to go. Seeing the light at the end of the tunnel! Check in again tomorrow to see how my fashion week comes to a close!

Although fashion week has been going on for almost a week, we had our first show up at Bryant Park yesterday for our client Toni Francesc. While the office was buzzing with last minutes preparation for the 9:00PM show, I was preoccupied at my desk watching Showstudio's live stream of the Rodarte A/W 2010 collection. In a wintery white, heart breakingly romantic collection, featuring loads of muted florals, plaids, white lace/mesh and tulle, the models walked slowly around those lucky enough to get a seat at this blockbuster of a show, channeling a Virgin Suicides/Children of the Corn meets Corpse Bride vibe.
While beautifully embroidered lace and mesh layered under white and cream knit skirts and paneled jackets were shown as day looks, the final Burton-esque white and cream bridal–inspired gown looks are what really stole the show. What should be noted is the importance of the contrast between this season's neo-noir-romanticism and S/S 2010's tribal/sci-fi collection. Only the genius of the girls at Rodarte could make this kind of change in texture, cut and color provide the same haunting vibrations for their audience. Just as the collection was coming to an end, the models arranged themselves around a cluster of burning melting candles, and as the lights went down, the room was flooded with black light and the white collection began to glow, changing the romantic mood of this collection in an unmistakeably on-trend 90's/rave feeling finale.
My gushing over this collection wouldn't be complete without mentioning yet another INSANE collaboration on the shoes with Nicholas Kirkwood, which this season featured glowing light up heels and ballerina inspired ankle wraps. A few hours before our 9:00PM show Kelly, Robyn and I hopped into a car and headed uptown to the tents at Bryant Park. Backstage at the salon Toni prepped his Blade Runner, futuristic collection as we all prepared the gift bags and checked in everyone for his Sci-Fi feeling show.
Lights went down just a few minutes behind schedule and the packed venue watched as black wigged models were presented in sharp shouldered silhouettes with low wedged boots in various muted browns and blacks. After the show it was off to Cellar Bar at the Bryant Park Hotel for the Toni Francesc after party where I had a drink and headed home for a good night's rest to prep for the following long and exciting day. News from Jeremy Scott's show and after party coming in tomorrow!

Fashion week over here at People's Rev has been pretty tame thus far, but yesterday started crunch time for the four shows we're working on for this week. Still, I was able to break away from the office, with Kelly's permission of course, and had a chance to head up to Milk Studios with my girl Becka Diamond for the Rad Hourani show. As soon as we stepped out of the car in front of Milk, clad in black velvet leggings, hers Number9 and mine vintage Armani layered under my S/S 2009 Givenchy leather shorts, we quickly got the feeling that something was wrong. No check in? No swarming photographers? How could this be?
These should have been a dead giveaway but it wasn't until Becka and I arrived on the second floor space that we were informed that the show had just ended! As both of us gasped in disbelief, quickly turning our backs to the post-show reporters waiting for a quick interview with Rad, we concluded drinks were absolutely in order. Luckily we were both sporting funeral-chic looks, mine highlighted by my floor length Rick Owens "reaper" hooded sweatshirt and hers by her incredible Black net veil (totally channeling Lydia-from-Burton's-Beetlejuice), which seemed perfectly appropriate for the mourning of a missed show.
After a few beers at the 8th floor bar it was time for me to head back to the office just in time to catch the girls locking down the Toni Francesc seating chart. Just as I walked in the door I caught wind of the impromptu screening party Kelly was planning for the premiere of Kell On Earth episode 3 and hopped into a cab to head over to Dean & Deluca with Kelly to grab some grub. In a typical whirlwind Cutrone-style shopping trip we raced through the store, which Kelly and I now know like the looks of Rick Owens' most recent collection, grabbing various cheeses, breads, salads, pastries and entrees before checking out and racing back to Kelly's apartment to prep before everyone arrived.
Watched the new episode in a room packed with the likes of designer David Delfin, Ben & Jerry's CEO Walt Freese, the President of Mexico City Fashion week, Joanna Bennett, my Mom and brother and of course the rest of us from The Rev. Unfortunately we had to run downstairs after the show to finish up with some work, causing me to miss out of the big event of the evening -- Marc Jacobs after party at Boom Boom. Left the office and headed home to get some rest before our crazy three days of shows. Check back in tomorrow to hear about my day at the tents! -- ANDREW MUKAMAL

Although all of us at People's Rev were pretty bummed to be trapped in the office on Valentine's Day, we all sucked it up and came in to get some work done. I spent most of the day hanging around and snacking on Twins Trees pizza and Italian cookies, which came as a gift from a radio crew that came into town from Kelly's hometown of Syracuse.
The majority of the day was spent working on seating charts for our upcoming shows for Davidelfin, Toni Francesc and Jeremy Scott. While Kelly wouldn't let me break out of the office to head over to the Thakoon show, she did let me out for Valentine's day dinner at a shockingly early 8:00. After a great Italian meal on the LES I headed over to TriBeCa Grand for a few drinks at their Valentine's Day party and somehow ended up at the Jacques Magazine/Evisu/The Smile party at some strip club by the west side highway (which was up and running, strippers, poles and all).
Got home just in time for a single REM cycle and a quick change and shower and headed back to the office for another day of Fashion week insanity. On a side note, make sure to watch the new episode of Kell On Earth tonight at 10:00PM on Bravo!

Kicked off Day 3 of NYFW with a long leisurely brunch with Kelly,
Skinner and UK based artist, Kate Moross at Sanctuary T (ginger green
tea and extra crispy bacon....again...). Then headed back to the office
to continue with fashion week prep work. With a surprisingly quiet office, Grace was able to get started on the seating chart for the
Davidelfin show for next week. Kelly let me break away from my desk for
a quick shopping trip to IF Boutique with my buddy, and Esquire's
Fashion Market Editor, Nic Screws. Just as Nic had to race off to
Patrik Ervell, I sprinted back to the office (with the fox fur fringe
trim on my black leather Alexander Wang Hoody flowing in the wind) for
Showstudio's live stream of Alexander Wang's show (side-note: Nick
Knight and the crew at Showstudio are revolutionizing/bringing an end
to the fashion week ritual as we know it).
As the whole People's
Revolution crew sat glued to their computer screens, Wang showed a very
90's-Noir collection, highlighted by chunky heeled boots paired with
thigh-high leg warmers, oversize backpacks with sheer streamers
attached, cropped tops and some killer black lace and mesh (all
perfectly suited for a re-make of the 90's cult flick The Craft, one of
my all-time favorites...duh). While Wang's show was definitely
impressive, it was Givenchy-alum Joseph Altuzarra's black and red,
vampy-leather and velvet collection that has proven to be the most
talked about show of the week as of yet. As if the thigh-exposing slits
and hyper-sexy cutout dresses and skirts weren't good enough, Abbey Lee
stole the show in a black leather body suit that looks like a
concoction Tim Burton (aka GOD) would have dreamed up for one of his
heroines (Catwoman or maybe Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas).
After a few hours of getting my fashion fix, I headed uptown with
Skinner to support our client, David Delfin at a party at the Grace
Hotel that was being held in his honor. As the creme-de-la-creme of the
Spanish fashion crowd mingled around the hotel's multi-colored pool, I
chatted with David and his partner Gorka about his upcoming collection.
Decided to opt out of the Opening Ceremony party at the Ace hotel and
headed home to catch last week's episode of Big Love and rest up. More
news tomorrow from the insanity that is NYFW. -- ANDREW MUKAMAL

Spent most of the day yesterday recapping the first night of New York
Fashion Week, finalizing some things for our upcoming shows next week
and dancing to Rihanna's "Rude Boy" at my desk (seriously haven't
stopped watching this video for the past two days -- Kelly's even starting
to warm up to it haha).
One of the big highlights of the day was the
delivery of the Christian Louboutin for Davidelfin shoes for his A/W
2010/2011 collection. Out of control platform leather/suede buckled
booties and Mary Janes with the same crazy heel and shape as David's
blue glitter ankle boots from last season -- swoon.
As the day went on I
clicked through the days shows, anxious to see what trends are starting
to appear for next fall. Quick shout out to the boys are Rag &
Bone whose urban neo-grunge collection was highlighted by long plaid
flannel shirts and loads of black leather. Grabbed a drink with Skinner
and Kelly at Lucky Strike, our go-to spot, as we waited for our client,
David Delfin, to meet us before we headed over to TriBeCa Grand, where
People's Revolution was helping out our friends at Seven NY with their
mega-bash.
Although the hotel was packed with loads of fashion types
for Seven's 10th Anniversary, the People's Revolution crew held it down
in a back corner booth with the likes of fashion blogger-turned icon
BryanBoy, Henry Holland, David Delfin and Pixie Geldof. Called it a
night and headed uptown just after 2. Check back in tomorrow for more
news from NYFW.

Hello New York Fashion week! So, the day kicked off with the tragic and devastating news of the untimely death of Alexander McQueen. While this proved to be the news of the day, us fashion folk continued to trek around the snow covered city from event to event.
People's Revolution kicked off fashion week with a Mara Hoffman presentation last night and I must say that all of us had an awesome time prepping and working around Mara's beautiful A/W 2010/2011 collection. I showed up to the presentation, with my girls Ava and Nana, just in time to watch the models taking their positions in a circular formation, standing on large clear plastic platforms. As live tribal music and smoke, via dry ice, filled the space, guests admired Mara's beautifully printed jewel tone dresses and leggings.
Next I was off to Resurrection's "20 years of Maison Martin Margiela" event in the west village, where a young fashion crowd admired an incredible collection of Margiela's masterpieces that lined the walls of the two floor space. Just as the last drinks were served I was whisked off to the LNA party at Milk Studios, which seemed to be the "it" destination for everyone to reconnect and recap their days over stiff drinks, of course. Although I had had quite a long day and was totally buzzed, somehow I was dragged to B.East for a nightcap. I woke up to half a dozen missed calls from Kelly, threw on my Givenchy lace-up A/W '10 pants and my favorite Christopher Kane gorilla T-shirt, and jumped on the 6 train.
Check in tomorrow for updates on what I get into on day 2 of NYFW!
